How to apply for a GlobePay Account

Click “Apply Now” on the GlobePay Website to fill out the online application form. In the application form, GlobePay would like to collect basic information about your UK-registered company and details about your business. If you are a sole trader, please choose it in the Business Type and fill out the application form accordingly.

Once you submit the online application form, you will need to log in to the GlobePay Merchant Portal to upload compliance documents for activating your account. These documents include:

  1. Business Bank Statement(Issued in the previous 90 days, showing 1 month’s transactions).
  2. Director’s ID(If the company has two or more Directors, please upload at least 2 Directors’ IDs), and the ID of all shareholders with 25% or more. We accept current and valid Passport or UK Driving Licences. (Provisional licence and BRP are not acceptable)
  3. Director’s proof of address(If the company has two or more Directors, please upload at least 2 Directors’ POA), and the POA of all shareholders with 25% or more. We accept utility bills, council tax bills or personal bank statements (Issued in the previous 90 days, showing the person’s name, residential address and date)
  4. If you are a sole trader, you must provide up-to-date proof of your tax affairs (e.g. latest HMRC Tax Returns or a screenshot of your HMRC profile details).
  5. Other support documents to help us understand your business

After you upload all the compliance documents, the relevant department will review your application. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Once your application is approved, your registered email address will receive an email under the subject GlobePay: Your Account has been Approved.
